He has been in the industry since 1995, and opened his own independent practice in 2001.

Bill hosts the television show, Retirement Solutions where he addresses top concerns for retirees and their investments on Cleveland's ABC NewsChannel 5. The show airs on Sundays at 12:00pm. Bill also hosts the radio show, Retirement Solutions, which airs on WTAM 1100 on Sundays at 7 am. Bill and his wife Erica have been married since 1995 and have three children, daughter Hallee, and sons Blake and Cameron. The five of them enjoy spending time together as a family, boating on Lake Erie, and supporting each other at numerous sporting events.
